These terms and conditions apply to the Service provided by The Dreaming Heart Art Studio and authorized staff (“the Studio” or “we” or “us”).  

We may amend any of our Terms & Conditions at any time, and without notice.  We will post the revised version on our website along with the revision date.  The revised version will be effective as of the time it is posted.​

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before reserving the Service and print off a copy for your records.

In reserving the Service, you agree to the terms of this agreement which will legally bind you. 




“Service” means the provision of an "In-Studio Art Party for Kids (6+ yrs.)." 

"In-Studio Art Party for Kids (6+ yrs.)" means a child-focused private art party that is taught by us at the Studio location (also referred to as a "party" or "Art Party").

"Birthday Party Add-On" means an add-on service available for in-Studio Art Parties only.

"Studio location" means Kemptville Education & Community Centre, Room 110 on the 2nd Floor of Parish Hall, 40 Campus Dr, Kemptville, ON K0G 1J0, Canada.

"Rose" means Rose Poirier, the owner and instructor of the Dreaming Heart Art Studio.

“You” means the individual/organization reserving the Service.​​

"Participant(s)" means the person(people) participating in the Service.  Participants must be 6+ years of age.

“Fee(s)” means the fee(s) paid by you to the Studio for the Service.

"Base fee" means the non-refundable deposit paid by you to the Studio to secure your Service date and time. 

“Website” means

2.1. A description of the Service is available on our website.  We will provide the Service with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the description set out on the website.

2.2. We reserve the right to vary or withdraw the Service described on the website without notice including but not limited to fee adjustments.


3.1 Once we have confirmed your party date, you will be sent a time-sensitive reservation link.  You are required to pay the base fee deposit via this link within 36 hours in order to secure your party date and time.  If payment is not made within this timeframe, your party date will become available to the public once more.


3.2 The base fee is *non-refundable. If you cancel the Service or if some/all of the participants do not attend your party you will not be refunded the base fee. The base fee includes up to 6 participants and up to 1.5 to 2 hours of instruction/creative time (depending on your selected art party option).  If you have fewer than 6 participants, you are still required to pay the base fee.  If you have selected the Birthday Party Add-On option, this additional *non-refundable fee will be added to the base fee deposit and will also be due in full upon reservation.

*The only exception when it comes to refunding the base fee is if the Studio cancels your Service, in which case you will be refunded the base fee in full.

3.3 If you have more than 6 participants, additional participant fees will apply (varies depending on your selected art party option).  Additional Participant Fees will be due in full the day the Service is provided before the party ends. 


3.4 We require your total participant number a minimum of 10 days before your Service date.  This will ensure Rose is able to purchase adequate art materials! *Depending on Studio inventory, we can sometimes accommodate last-minute requests for additional participants.  Please don't hesitate to ask!

3.5 The Service is capped at 9 participants for in-Studio art parties.

3.6 If you need to reschedule your Service, please let us know a minimum of 14 days before your original Service date to avoid being charged a rescheduling fee.  Rescheduling requests made with less than 14 days' notice will be charged a *non-refundable $50 rescheduling fee + HST, due in full upon rescheduling.


4.1 The hosting adult is welcome to remain in the Studio for the duration of the art activity to provide group supervision.  We ask that no more than two non-participating adults remain.  There is no additional cost for non-participating adults.  Alternatively, you are welcome to drop-off and pick-up the children; however, we require the parent of each participant fill out our Participant Enrolment Form prior to the party date so that we have important contact and medical information on hand.  If you select the drop-off/pick-up option, you will be sent a link to our Participant Enrolment Form via email, which we kindly ask that you forward to all parents.




5.1 If you have selected our Birthday Party Add-On option, you are welcome to arrive 30 minutes before the party start time to set-up your refreshment/gift table. 


5.2 Please note, the Studio does not provide the refreshments.  You are responsible for bringing your own NUT-FREE refreshments.​ Please don't forget to bring plates, cups, cutlery, napkins, etc. Please DO NOT BRING CANDLES as we cannot have an open flame in the building.


5.3 If additional guests will be joining in for the final hour after the art activity (for photo booth pics, refreshments, etc.), please note, we can have a maximum of 15 people in the space during this time (not including Studio staff).


5.4 The hosting adult MUST remain in the Studio for the duration of this additional hour in order to provide group supervision.  The Studio is not responsible for children during this add-on hour.  


6.1 Rose will start instruction at the reserved time regardless of missing/late participants.  Rose will do her best to bring late-arriving participants up to speed, however, please note that instructions for said participants will be condensed so as to fulfill overall instructions for the group within the reserved time period.


6.2 Please note, every artist creates at a unique pace and it is common for some participants to not finish their art piece within 1.5 hours.  If Rose's schedule permits, you are welcome to extend the Service hours to accommodate late finishers.  Additional time is charged at $30/30-minute increment + HST and will be due in full the day the Service is provided before the party ends.



7.1 Please ensure participants wear art-friendly clothes as making art is messy and may result in permanent stains.  We do not provide smocks/aprons.

9.1 Neither the Studio, any of the art instructors, nor any of the assistants shall ever be held liable (jointly or severally) to you, the participants, or any of your respective estates or representatives, for personal injury or any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages of any kind, or any damages resulting from loss, whether or not advised of the possibility of damage, and on any theory of liability, arising out of or in connection with the Service.  Under no circumstance shall the total liability of the Studio, any of the art instructors, or any of the assistants for any damages or losses arising from the Service exceed the maximum amount of the price of the Service for which you paid.
