Soul Sisters art classes offer beginner-friendly, free-spirited opportunities to grow in our creativity, show ourselves lots of self-love, and connect with fellow women!

This is NOT a technical art class. This is a feel-good, soothe your soul, express yourself art class.
We'll experiment with a variety of art mediums and subjects, as we use art to explore and voice our feelings and ideas in an intuitive, expressive, and soulful way.
Rose will provide gentle guidance, interesting art materials, and art-inspiring prompts to spark your imagination for a creative art experience that is meaningful and empowering!

No experience is needed.
Just a desire to peacefully create together, and nurture yourself and your creativity!

Soul Sisters is offered as a 6-week session on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m. There is some single class availability within each session. Certain projects are also offered on monthly Saturday mornings.

PAINT DAY- INNER GODDESS
MON, APRIL 15th
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
We'll gently explore the symmetry and proportions of the human face as we create female deities representative of our own divine inner goddesses.

CLAY MANDALA
MON, APRIL 29th
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
We'll roll out some air dry clay and discover interesting ways to shape and texturize this medium using traditional and inspired tools; as we transform it into a beautiful mandala-esque art piece.

PAINT NIGHT-STYLE- HARVEST MOON
MON, MAY 13th

Learn step-by-step how to paint a mystical night scene complete with a forest clearing and celestial moon. Make it your own by choosing colours that inspire you and adding meaningful symbolism!
INTUITIVE PAPER DESIGNS & FOIL EMBOSSING
MON, APRIL 22nd
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
Create intuitive, exploratory papers using fun and expressive watercolour techniques and add fun patterns using dry media (paint sticks, metallic marker, gel pens, stencils, and more!). We'll also use embossing foil and sharpie to create a beautiful zen-doodle art piece.

FLORA & FAUNA ILLUSTRATION
MON, MAY 6th
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
Learn some beginner-friendly ways to sketch flowers, leaves, and a pretty little bird. Then, we'll each peacefully work on our drawings, adding beautiful colour and pattern!

YARN BOUQUET PAINTING
MON, MAY 20th

Let's get crafty by painting a vibrant bouquet on stretched canvas, and then embellishing our blooms with colourful yarn, buttons, and jewels! It's so fun to play with different materials!

MIXED MEDIA BUTTERFLY
MON, JUNE 10th or SAT, AUG 3rd
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
The butterfly~ that symbol of growth, resilience, beauty, and creativity! We'll learn some fun tips for drawing symmetrically and then we'll explore colour and pattern as we decorate our paper butterflies using watercolour, metallic gel pens, glitter, and pretty sequins!
COSMIC MANDALA
MON, JUNE 24th or SAT, SEPT 14th
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.

We'll create a vibrant spiral of colour using acrylic paint, and then we'll explore oh-so meditative ways to fill our deconstructed mandalas with dynamic line and pattern. The focus will be on moving our paint brushes freely, intuitively, and expressively! We'll add the finishing touches with metallic gel pens and acrylic paint pens.
CLAY HAMSA ORNAMENT
MON, JULY 15th
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.

The Hamsa~ that universal symbol of protection and strength. We'll sculpt this cosmic design using our own hand as a starting point. Then we'll add imprints and clay embellishments... swirls, leaves, a lotus flower, an evil eye, and more!

MERMAID COLLAGE SHADOWBOX
MON, JUNE 17th
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
We'll create magical and whimsical mermaid scenes using tons of inspiring deep sea collage images and a variety of arts & crafts materials (fabric, pretty papers, seashells, glitter, faux plants, and more!).
WOODLAND FOREST ILLUSTRATION
MON, JULY 8th or SAT, OCT 12th
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.

Rose will gently guide everyone in creating their own magical forest drawing filled with colour and symbolism! We'll sketch our drawings in pencil and then add watercolour, ink, and metallic gel pen. Fiddleheads, fungi, flowers, and forest critters will make this scene so mystical! Don't forget to include your spirit animal!
PAINT DAY- MAUD LEWIS INSPIRED
MON, JULY 22nd
10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.

We'll paint an adorable kitty painting in the style of Canada's Folk Art gem, Maud Lewis. Let's channel our inner child to create a colourful, pattern-filled painting on masonite board (just as Maud would have done!).
