Add-Ons:

Custom canvas designs are available for an additional fee of $75 + HST, which will be added to the base fee deposit. (Custom canvases remain the property of Dreaming Heart.)

Some canvases include mixed media materials (e.g., gel pens, acrylic paint markers, gem stickers, etc.) and may incur an additional material fee per participant.

Canvas formats vary:

Some come blank
Some include a pre-traced outline
Others offer optional designs that participants can trace themselves using carbon paper
Standard canvas size is 12" x 16" panel, unless otherwise noted.

Instruction varies depending on the canvas design:

Others are a blend of gentle guidance and self-led (intuitive) creating

No matter the format, participants are always encouraged to explore, make creative choices, and express themselves freely.

BESSIE the HIGHLAND COW

#1- BLOOMING BESSIE

Pre-traced.

We'll add shimmery metallic gel pen as the finishing touch!

ANIMALS

#1- COSMIC OCTOPUS

Octopus head & eye pre-traced.

This painting features a splatter technique that is (wonderfully) messy! It is recommended that this finishing touch be done outside (or on a large tarp).

#13- BUTTERFLY EFFECT

Pre-traced on a large 16" x 20" canvas.

This is an intuitive painting activity. Rose will provide a live demo, gentle prompts throughout, inspiration sample pieces, and guided handouts.

We'll paint the preliminary design together.

Then we'll each reflect on the symbolism of a butterfly as we continue to use paint to explore colour, pattern, texture, emotion, and personal symbolism.

For the finishing touch, we'll channel our inner child and use a variety of fun art materials to decorate our butterflies (acrylic paint markers, neon paint, beads, gem stickers, chunky glitter, glitter glue, whimsical stickers, and collage words).

This is a gently-guided meets self-led mixed-media painting activity.

We'll paint our backgrounds with acrylic paint and then we'll create a variety of different yarn flowers to fill our vases!

For the finishing touch, we'll decorate our bouquets with buttons, gem stickers, and beads.

*Participants will need room to lay their canvases flat on the table.

*Add an additional $5.99 + HST per participant.

Pre-traced.

This is a gently-guided meets self-led mixed-media painting activity.

We'll paint the preliminary design together and then everyone will add custom designs using neon paint and acrylic paint markers.

For the finihsing touch, we'll add pretty embellishments; such as, paper flowers, gem stickers, and glitter glue.

*Participants will need room to lay their canvases flat on the table.

*Add an additional material fee of $5.99 + HST per participant.

#7-CHRISTMAS KITTY

Large 16" x 20" canvas.

This is a gently-guided meets self-led mixed-media painting activity.

We'll sketch and paint the preliminary design together and then we'll each decorate kitty's ugly Christmas sweater with fun, festive embellishments; such as, pom poms, puffy trees, and cotton ball trim.

Don't forget a paper straw for Kitty's milk!

This painting is all about inviting play and getting in touch with our inner child!

*Participants will need room to lay their large canvases flat on the table.

*Add an additional material fee of $8.50 + HST per participant.

#9- INNER GODDESS

The outline of the goddess’s face will be pre-traced on a large 16" × 20" canvas.

This is an intuitive painting activity. Rose will provide a live demo, gentle prompts throughout, inspiration sample pieces, and guided handouts.

Rose will guide participants in sketching one-of-a-kind facial features and painting the base coat.

Then we’ll each explore our inner goddess through color, pattern, and meaningful symbolism.

Finish your piece with hand-drawn doodles using neon paint and acrylic paint markers.
