Mixed Media Mash is an exciting combination of drawing, painting, and clay play with opportunities to explore a variety of art mediums and creative processes.
DRAWING — Young artists will develop their drawing skills through playful, expressive, and imagination-boosting activities. We'll explore different drawing styles and techniques, naturally build observational and problem-solving skills, and use drawing as a way to communicate our unique perspective. The goal is always to develop our own style and to draw with joy and confidence!
PAINTING — Young Artists will explore the colourful and expressive world of paint through a variety of fun projects. We'll experiment with brushwork, colour, texture, and layering, while always focusing on adding our own one-of-a-kind creative touch.
CLAY PLAY — Young Artists will get hands-on with clay through playful, tactile projects! We'll experiment with sculpting, cutting, pinching, rolling, and creating texture and pattern as we learn to think in 3D.

Along the way, we'll have opportunities to mix things up by combining different art mediums, materials, and techniques.
We might layer a drawing with ink and watercolour, add pastel or pencil crayon to a painting, or incorporate painted paper, fabric, or collage into an art piece.
The sky is the limit!

The goal is never to create “perfectly,” but to learn to silence the inner critic so that we can create expressively and joyfully—to experiment, play, and discover what happens when we freely explore different artistic materials and approaches, and lead with our amazing imaginations!

Instruction will include a happy mix of step-by-step guidance and gently guided process art.
Artists will always be encouraged to develop their own creative style and add their unique artistic touch!

Exploring materials, experimenting with an idea, chit-chatting with friends, taking risks, building art skills and creative confidence, growing the imagination, trusting one's intuition, making independent decisions, relaxing, getting introspective, expressing oneself... HAVING FUN!

*Please note: These are drop-off classes designed to encourage creative independence, confidence, and self-expression.
Parents/guardians are asked to drop off students and return at the end of class.
There is no waiting area available.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
Please read our Terms & Conditions before registering.
Parents/legal guardians of new students, or existing students with updated information, must complete our Participant Enrolment Form before their child(ren) attend class. A link will be included in the registration confirmation email. If you are registering a child on behalf of their parent/legal guardian, please forward the form link to them for completion.
*We require a minimum of 5 students to run a session.
If you have registered your child and we don't end up making this number, you will be refunded in full.
